Christy Coble Brown

Christy is a North Carolina native who began dancing at 1-1/2 years of age in Greensboro, North Carolina.  She received more than 20 years of dance instruction in many dance disciplines including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, clogging, acrobatics, and baton, with her focus in ballet and pointe.  Christy has taught and choreographed for students 2 years of age through adults, from beginner to pre-professional levels.

While attending high school she was nominated and attended North Carolina Governor's School for intensive study of modern dance.

Through the years Christy has had wonderful performance opportunities in competitions, charity events, yearly recitals, and additional performances.  She has had the honor and pleasure of receiving dance instruction from many talented and internationally renowned teachers.  Some of her favorite teachers include Emily Adams, Mallory Graham, Henry LeTang, and her first teacher, her mom.

Personal fitness training is another of Christy's passions.  She has 20 years of experience as a personal fitness professional, holding a Personal Trainer Certification through American Council on Exercise for 8 years, along with many advanced certifications including special populations, geriatric, and post-cardiac rehabilitation.  She is also a Balletone MBA.  Balletone is group fitness which combines the fitness aspects of ballet training and Pilates training.  She has a passion for helping her clients reach their highest fitness potential and helping them achieve a healthier lifestyle through fitness and healthy life habits.

While healing from an injury which prevented Christy from pursuing her full-time dance career, God began revealing to her how she could use her talents to glorify Him through choreography and teaching.  After being involved in the arts her entire life, she has a desire to see God glorified through the creativity that He has given to believers.  Her desire is to reclaim the beauty of creativity and the arts for God's glory.
